Whatnot show profit calculator

Model the whole show—not just one sale. Combine seller fees, inventory, shipping, packaging, giveaways, overhead, and time to estimate what the stream actually earns.

Average order economics

2 · Show expenses

3 · Schedule

Calculate the entire show, not only gross sales

A show with strong gross sales can still produce a weak result after low auction prices, inventory cost, giveaways, shipping subsidies, packaging, and time. This calculator first estimates the contribution from an average paid sale, multiplies it across completed sales, and then subtracts costs that belong to the show as a whole.

Show profit = paid-sale contribution × sales − giveaways − other show costs

Profit per sale versus profit per hour

Profit per sale helps compare categories and auction formats. Profit per hour helps compare the show with other uses of your time. For a complete labor view, include preparation and packing time in the show-length input, not only the live broadcast.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate profit from a Whatnot show?

Add gross item sales, subtract estimated Whatnot fees, inventory cost, seller-paid shipping, packaging, giveaways, and other show expenses. Divide the result by paid sales or show hours to compare efficiency.

Should giveaways count as a show expense?

Yes. Include the giveaway item, seller-paid shipping, and packaging. Giveaways can support promotion, but their cost still reduces the show's net profit.

Why are buyer shipping and tax included?

Whatnot payment processing is generally based on total order value, including buyer-paid shipping and tax, even though those amounts are not seller item revenue.

What is a good hourly profit for a Whatnot show?

There is no universal target. Compare show profit per hour with the time required for sourcing, preparation, streaming, packing, and customer service—not only time spent live.
